Cotton Candy and the Big Girls

Lila tried cotton candy for the first time this weekend  - and LOVED it! It was blue, and she had a toddler size.

She also played and danced with some older girls at the swim club. We didn't know these girls, but Lila just sauntered on over and showed them her belly (!). They laughed and asked her to stay.  She was having such a good time, that when I walked over to check on her, she turned all serious and yelled, "No, momma! Go back there!" and pointed to my chair. I almost cried...already embarrassing her? yikes!!

Playing and dancing with the big girls. Next time I'll know to steer clear!

Carnival Fun, and Just FUN in General

I forgot to post this video of Ian and Lila skipping stones last weekend. Ian taught her how to skip, but she really just threw. Still tons of fun!

Here is a picture and video of Lila at Ms. sara's ballet class.  As you can see from the video, she certainly takes the "keep your chin up" business very seriously!

Lila inherited this bath towel from her friend Duke, as he outgrew it. She seems to really enjoy it!

Lila has been dressing herself recently. Even doing her own hair. Oh boy!

Although she is in front of this enormous plate of cookies at the pool today, she actually opted for corn bread and absolutely loved it.

The watermelon was pretty tasty too!

This weekend there was an Old Town carnival in Mill Valley. We took out the stroller and walked down the hill to meet our friends there. Lila LOVED the rides and had a blast!

This morning our friends Elizabeth and Randy hosted a pre parade breakfast party. I was thrilled, as it started at 8am.  Since Lila woke up ready to go at 4:30am !!) we were more than ready for an activity.

A sweet little snuggle with her pig in the car.

Gymnastics, School, and Some Other Things

Lila loves gymnastics. She has been practicing the "seat drop" (going from feet, to seat, and then back to feet) for some time now. Cara captured her first real seat drop on camera! See below :)

Today we took a ferry ride over to Angel Island.  It was a beautiful day! Lila loved the ferry, and Ian taught her how to skip rocks into the water.

I love this picture, even though it's not very clear. Ian is reading a book to Lila that my father read to me growing up. It's a Little Golden Book from the 50's, Mickey Mouse's Picnic. She was mesmerized.

Lila packed all her things for a road trip (pretend) to LA. That hat is mine from college, and the sandals from Italy, a present from Uncle Eric - she loves them!

Cousin Ella came for a visit :)

Such a precious photo. Lila and William at school the other day.

The Past Few Weeks

It's been a few weeks since my last post. Lila is still as busy as ever! She loves her ballet and Mommy and Me preschool class. She's also starting to let me play with her hair, and often chooses a fun to clip to wear (Thanks Aunt Devon!), or even pigtails. She looks so cute, and more and more like a little girl (even though I still call her my baby) every day. Here is a video of Ian teaching Lila to do "no hands!" on the see saw (ugh) and some recent photos:

Lila loves to go to the grocery store. She often gets free samples :)

Here she is planting a pumpkin at school.

Hard at work on her Mother's Day cards.

Pigtails! Adorable.

Focused ballerina

Happy girl :)
