Today Lila got her very own library card. Usually we take out books through her school library, but she got her own card today that she can use all over SF and Marin. The librarian let Lila choose a colored cord bracelet for her card, and Lila was thrilled! Here she is getting her card, choosing a book, and checking it out! Then you'll notice she couldn't wait until we got home to have a read. She LOVES Eric Carle books and chose Today is Monday (which we had never read before).

Goblin Jamboree
Today was the Goblin Jamboree at the Discovery Museum. Bounce houses, trains, ponies, you name it! Lila and William started out on the train ride, then Lila and I moved on to meet her friend Charlotte for some Halloween arts and crafts.
I know the videos don't work properly, but I keep posting them because I am hoping that when I get this problem all sorted out, I can fix them at once!
LILA TOOK A 2 1/2 HOUR NAP TODAY. Yes, it's true - her longest nap EVER. She had triple her normal amount of energy when she woke up (!) and we headed straight to Belvedere Park to play chase and catch. We were exhausted, but Lila found a tricycle and rode around and around. Here we are taking a break while she continues to pedal herself around the park. Tired parents!
Chase's Birthday Party
Chase is Lila's friend through Cara. He is the other little boy that Cara babysits for, and he and Lila have a special little friendship. He had Lila's old music teacher at his party. Lila took a bit to warm up, then was right in the mix!
First Field Trip
Lila's first school field trip was to the Nicasio Pumpkin Patch. As you can see, the kiddos were much more interested in the goldfish/cheese snacks than the pumpkins!

Still got her snack in hand (although bag appears to be empty!)

Cow Lovey and Pumpkins
This is a picture of Lila and her cow, whom she lovingly calls "Moo Moo" - there was a local photographer taking pictures of children and their "loveys", but it was Mimmie who captured this cute shot on her iPhone :)
This is the first year that Lila really knows about pumpkins and is starting to understand the concept of Halloween. We went to the pumpkin patch with Amma, then to a different one on a field trip with school yesterday. Her first field trip! I'll post pictures later, but here are some of Lila choosing a pumpkin with me before breakfast at the Marin Country Mart. I love the honor system for pumpkin buying here!
Visit with Mimmie and Pops
Lila and Mimmie in the art room at the museum. This outfit from Mimmie was a hit - Lila wanted to wear it all weekend!
Daddy helping out at the computer in the Native American exhibit.
Pops weaving away...
First real piggy back ride with daddy! (In the past it's been shoulder rides)
Getting cozy after bath with Mimmie.
