Beach

Lila just loves the beach. She still talks about the road trip we took to Santa Monica and how she was able to take her shoes off on the beach the entire time. I try to take her to a beach whenever possible. Here she is at Crissy Field the other day...

She was yelling "This is FUN! Happy! Lila likes this, mommy!"

Lila and Friends

Cara has helped Lila make a few new friends at local parks recently. Here is a new buddy, Tenzin.

Still loving her gymnastics class with teacher Dee

Love the magnifying glass...

Trying to recreate a picture I had of myself with my friend Adam on a wooden slide...will post that shortly!

Spring

Spring is here and the weather has been AMAZING! Lila and William had a blast at the park last week, picking each other flowers and playing chase. Here are some pictures of these two cuties:

We often walk by a place called Boca Pizzeria in the local mall. Lila always asks to go there, so we went on friday night. As soon as the band started playing, Lila jumped up in her chair and started to dance!

And speaking of dance...Lila is really enjoying the ballet class we signed up for on Fridays. She has a new friend Charlotte (we met her in our old mommy and me preschool class), and we asked them to come to ballet as well. Charlotte is wearing the black and grey polka dots...look how cute these little dancers are at class!

Lila seems to have moved on from her own little kitchen, to our shared family one! She is really interested in cooking whenever I am (which is really mostly baking), but here she is, taking her job as pancake maker very seriously. Note the strawberry barrette! So sweet.

More to come...Happy Sunday, everyone!

Easter, Birthday Cakes and Matryoshka Dolls

It's been a while since I posted, so much has been happening here. Lila had THREE egg hunts for Easter! One was based on a book we read together, another was at the Marin Country Mart, and the last was at Eric and Molly's house in SF. Molly hid play doh in her eggs, which was Lila's favorite, as she has been really into baking play doh cakes at home for people's birthdays lately. She even sings "Happy Birthday" and blows out the candles!

See below:

We had our morning hunt based on this book.

Saying goodnight to the bunny my student, Brie, brought for Lila

Lila also loves to play with the Matryoshka dolls that belonged to my grandma Adele. I remember exactly where they were in her house, my dad's childhood home, and feel so lucky that they now "live" in Lila's room. She is just beginning to understand how they fit together, and wants to "fit" them in often.

This is Lila's early morning hair do :)

More later!
