Weekend

Over the weekend Ian and I took Lila into San Francisco to see some sights. We've been reading a book titled, Goodnight, San Francisco, for months, and Lila has been asking to go over the bridge, ride the cable cars, etc. So, we headed into the city and played tourists - we had a great time! First stop on the way in was The Lighthouse Coffee Shop, a tiny little spot in Sausalito serving up Mickey Mouse pancakes. Someone was VERY happy :)

Lila just loved riding the cable car! She was waving and smiling the whole time. It was a short ride, though, since we rode the cable car up the hill to visit Molly, Eric and Luciana. Lila loved playing with Luciana's toes, and was so helpful in trying to figure out how to work one of Molly's new baby carriers!

Yesterday our friends Billy and Mandy were in town, and we headed up to a Zydeco festival in Sonoma. Our wedding band from New Orleans, Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots, were playing, and it was such fun to sing and dance along. Here we are reunited with Bruce "Sunpie" Barns, 7 years later!

Lila didn't come to the festival, but she enjoyed wearing beads we brought back. At breakfast (where Lila had another Mickey Mouse pancake!), she handed out beads to other kids. Moms thanked us later, as the beads were a good distraction while the kids all waited for their food :) Here's Lila in her beads and her Ray Bans from Uncle Icky and Aunt Molly (yes, you read right, Ray Bans!)

Playing fort. Her new favorite activity.

Teaching me yoga. She has an animal book of yoga poses and was teaching me some moves. This was monkey (while Ian watched football in the background).
